The incident which occurred on the 30th of January got many people talking and accusing the police and the private guard at the scene where Shadrach Arloo passed away.
This led to the arrest of the private guard Osei Kwame Boafo by the police for investigations.
Police on Tuesday 7th of February released a statement concerning the incident about their investigations. It has been found in the Police investigations that, the deceased Shadrach Arloo swallowed eight substances that blocked his breathing track when the police arrested him.
They say, according to their investigations, the deceased resisted the arrest by the police which invited the suspect to assist. Before the arrest of the deceased, the police say, he pulled out some substances from his bag and swallowed them before he could be stopped by anybody.
He felt unconscious and was taken to Sonatech Clinic for treatment but died upon arrival. The deceased parents, sister, lawyer, and reps of the accused witnessed the police in their investigations of the death case. A police report says, they agreed that the police conduct postmortem on the deceased.
The Police pathologists conducted a postmortem and revealed the deceased had swallowed eight zipped dry leaves substances that tested positive for cannabis.
